I love creating fun character portraits! When a client has personality and character already, it makes it so much easier to create amazing images. Gavin plays basketball and he's a little baller. I shot this with the Canon 5D Mark IV and the Canon 24-70 Lens at f.8. I used two Yongnuo YN560 IV Speedlite Flashes with one Westcott Rapid Box 26" Octa, and one Westcott softbox. Lights were set up on both sides and towards the front of the subject. I took the image into Lightroom for simple edits like white balance and exposure, then headed into Photoshop for the fun edits. I enhanced his eyes, did some dodging and burning to bring out the highlights and shadows in his skin and hair. I added a nice sky blue background with a light circle coming in from behind. I then made Gavin's head very big to give that bobblehead feel. I posted the before and after image below. When you come in for a photo shoot, I will take lots of photos and provide many different options for you to choose from. My goal is that you will find at least one GREAT photo; one that will become your story. A classic that you will hang on your wall forever.
